Our Journey of Compassion
Ehsas Foundation began in 2015 with a simple yet powerful belief: that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can create ripples of positive change. What started as a small group of five passionate individuals distributing food to the homeless in Mumbai has grown into a comprehensive non-profit organization touching thousands of lives across 6 states in India.
Our founder, Rajesh Kumar, was inspired to start this journey after witnessing the struggles of underprivileged children in his neighborhood. With just ₹5000 and unwavering determination, he began reaching out to those in need. Within the first year, we had served over 1000 meals and helped 50 children access education.
Over the years, we've expanded our reach to include educational programs for underprivileged children, healthcare initiatives for remote communities, skill development for youth, women empowerment programs, and emergency relief during natural disasters. Our growth has been organic, driven by the needs of the communities we serve and the generosity of donors like you.
Today, with a team of 25 full-time staff and over 1250 active volunteers, we run 68 projects across 185 communities. We've established 5 free schools, conducted 85 medical camps, planted 75,000 trees, and distributed 1.5 lakh food packages. But numbers only tell part of the story – behind each statistic is a life transformed, a family empowered, a community strengthened.
